What is Netrun?
Netrun is a cloud platform that runs your code online. You upload a project, answer a couple of questions and get a working link. Servers, Docker, nginx, the domain and SSL are all on us.
Do I need my own server or VPS?
No. Netrun deploys your project on its own servers. There is no VPS to rent, no systemd or nginx to configure and no certificates to renew — all of that runs for you.
Do I need to know how to work with Docker?
No. Netrun detects which language your project uses and builds it for you. If you already have a Dockerfile or docker-compose, we support them, but you do not need to write them specially.
How is Netrun different from a VPS, Heroku or Railway?
On a VPS you set up the server yourself; Heroku and Railway expect a repository and a terminal. With Netrun you just upload a folder with your code: the platform works out whether it is a website or a bot, asks for a token if one is needed and gives you a link. Errors come in plain words, and you pay by Russian card, SBP or crypto, with no automatic charges.
How much does it cost, and is there a free plan?
There is a free plan for one project, no card needed. A website on it lives as long as you like: it sleeps when idle and wakes up on request. A bot starts for free too. Around the clock for free — by inviting friends: a day of Pro for every friend who publishes a project, and a week of Pro for every friend who pays for a plan; there is no limit on the number of friends. Without invitations a bot on the free plan gets 3 hours of running time. Pro can also be bought — once, for the term you choose: a month, three months or a year; current prices are on the plans page.
Is this free hosting?
For websites — yes, with no time limit: it is not a trial, and a free website is not switched off after a month. No card is needed, there are no ads on the site, and the link opens over HTTPS right away. The site sleeps when nobody visits and wakes up by itself in a couple of seconds when someone opens it. For bots — yes too: a bot starts for free, and runs around the clock for free on Pro, which you get by inviting friends. Without invitations a bot on the free plan gets 3 hours of running time. If you need several projects, you can add places to the Pro plan — each place gives you one more project. Invitations give a day of Pro for every friend who publishes a project, and a week of Pro for every friend who pays for a plan.
